Programme Objectives



To achieve academic excellence through creation of innovative, ethical & globally acceptable professionals in the field of Electrical Engineering satisfying social and technical needs.


To disseminate knowledge and technical skills in Electrical Engineering discipline in a progressive academic and research environment for creation of competent professional and responsible citizens.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

1. PREPARATION - To prepare students to succeed in employment/profession and/or to pursue postgraduate & research education in Electronics & Telecommunication and allied Engineering disciplines.

2. CORE COMPETENCE & BREADTH - To provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to formulate, analyze & solve engineering problems related to Electronics & Telecommunication in particular and engineering practice in general.  Also to prepare student with good scientific and engineering breadth to design system and solve problems.

3. PROFESSIONALISM - To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skill, teamwork, and an ability to relate engineering to global perspective issues and social context.

 4. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT - To provide student with an academic environment that fosters excellence, transparency, leadership and promote awareness of life-long learning.


Programme Outcomes

  • Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

  • Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

Program Specific Outcomes

1. PSO1:
 Apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Science and Electrical Engineering Fundamentals to solve, analyze and design complex problems in electrical Machines, electrical circuits, control systems, power systems, analog and Digital electronics.

2. PSO2:
 Implement their knowledge in the domain of all electrical research Organization of renewable energy and power plants, and also determine Their performance through testing and commissioning of EHT Substations and generating station.

3. PSO3:
Ability to apply technical skills and modern engineering software tools, in the domain of Electrical Engineering, to demonstrate their proficiency. Through experimentation, modeling and presentation to develop new Products useful to the industry and the society.
