First Year Induction Program at Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research
“Teachers & Parents must work together to mould children into good citizens of India so that the country becomes a land of peace & prosperity”, expressed Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Chancellor, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences & Ex-Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, while delivering his Presidential address at the First Year Induction Program organized for welcoming the B.E First Year Students.
Speaking further, Shri. Dattaji Meghe reiterated his vision of making the Meghe Group of Institutions, the best educational group in the country. He requested the teachers and students to help him in his mission of reaching education to all the corners of the state, especially Vidarbha, which is considered to be backward. He motivated the students to join politics to work for the betterment of the society. He assured that the Meghe Group will leave no stone unturned to provide the best of facilities and infrastructure to the students.
The First Year Induction Program was formally inaugurated at the hands of Shri. Dattaji Meghe and Dr. Sachin Untawale, Principal, DMIETR. Mrs. Megha Sawangikar, First Year Coordinator, Mr. Benny Samuel, HOD, Humanities, Mr. Prashant Chaudhari, HOD, Physics, Mr. Ranjit Dhunde, HOD, Mathematics, and Mr. Amit Gudadhe, HOD, Civil were prominently present on the dais during the Induction Program.
The Induction Program began with a powerpoint presentation by Mr. Benny Samuel regarding the Institution, facilities available, events, activities & other important information. After the presentation, a welcome dance was performed by Ms. Aishwarya Datey. The Program was formally inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp & garlanding the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Shri. Dattaji Meghe was given a floral welcome on behalf of the Institution by Dr. Sachin Untawale.
In her Welcome Address, Mrs. Megha Sawangikar gave detailed information regarding rules & regulations to be followed by the students. Students from the previous batch, namely, Ms. Kimaya Gawande and Ms. Nupoor Tendolkar shared their experience with the newly admitted students. They guided & motivated the students on various aspects of engineering education. They motivated the students to excel in all areas to be the best.
Dr. Sachin Untawale, in his address to the parents, asked the parents to be alert about the activities of their children, especially regarding their attendance and their performance in tests and sessionals conducted by the Institution regularly. He highlighted the efforts taken by the Institution to provide the best teaching learning atmosphere for the students. He reiterated that while taking engineering education, we must not forget our moral values. He pledged full support to the students to achieve their goals.
Mr. Benny Samuel conducted the proceedings & Dr. Neelam Kadam proposed the vote of thanks. The Program was followed by lunch for Parents & Students. Heads of Departments, Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff, Parents, Students, were present in large numbers.
6th National Level Technical Event ‘Blitzkrieg 2015’ held at DMIETR “Innovation, great ideas and its implementation can change the view of world. Hence everyone must think and try to implement their original ideas.” said Dr. Kamal Singh, Ex-Vice Chancellor, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, while speaking at the inaugural function of “Blitzkrieg 2015”, the 6th National Technical Event organized by Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and e-SPARK, the Department’s Students Association. Dr. Kamal Singh, while addressing budding engineers from various parts of the country, appreciated the Management for providing such good platform for the students to show their talent and innovations.
Blitzkrieg - 2015, had Dr. Kamal Singh as the Chief Guest while renowned Marathi Film and Television Actress, Ms Priyanka Waman, was the Guest of Honor of the inaugural function. Hon. Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Former MP, Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences presided over the inaugural function of Blitzkrieg-2015. About 2000 participants from various parts of country participated in the various events of the National Technical Event. Dr. Sachin Untawale, Principal, DMIETR, Prof. Smita A. Nagtode, Head, ETC & Organizing Secretary, Prof. Prashant Shende, Convenor, Prof. Pankaj Gakare, Co-Convenor & Tandavmurti Pilley, Student Coordinator, e-SPARK Student Association, were prominently present on dais.
The inaugural function got off to a rousing star with classical welcome dance by students of DMIETR Ms. Harshala Gode & Ms. Sonal Bansod. Ms. Pooja Udapurkar sang ‘Saraswati Vandana’ while dignitaries lighted traditional lamp. Dignitaries were accorded a floral welcome. In her introductory speech, Prof. Smita Nagtode gave an idea about events to be conducted during Blitzkrieg 2015. Dr. Sachin Untawale delivered the welcome address. Prof. Benny Samuel conducted proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks.
Blitzkrieg -15 had ten events, namely, Paper Presentation in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Master of Business Administration and Applied Science and other events Quiz, Robo Race, Robo Soccer, Aqua Robo, Poster competition, LAN Gaming, Blind C, On Spot Events, Project Exhibition.
All the Faculty Member of E&TC Department, members of the Organizing Committee, Faculty Coordinators from various departments, non-teaching staff and Students Coordinators worked hard for success of the programme.

Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research,(Polytechnic) Sawangi (Meghe) Wardha organized Career Fair on January 3rd, 2015. Prof. Mohan Shirbhate, Principal, Acharya Shrimannarayan Tantraniketan, Pipri (Meghe), Wardha was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Function while Dr. Sachin Untawale, Principal, DMIETR, Wardha presided over the function.
The Programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Prof. C. R. Deshpande, Coordinator, DMIETR, Polytechnic delivered an introductory speech. Dr. Sachin Untawale in his welcome address, welcomed all the dignitaries and students and asked them to take the maximum benefit of the expert guidance available at the Fair. Prof. Mohan Shirbhate guided the students from various schools on various career opportunities in the Technical field. Dr. S.O. Kediya, HOD, MBA guided the students on Personality Development and Positive Thinking while Mr. T. Somnathe, Training and Placement Officer, DMIETR, Wardha shed light upon self-employment in industrial sector. Mr. A. G. Gachake, Manager, SBI, Sawangi (Meghe) Wardha explained the students regarding Educational Loan and solved Student’s queries while Mr. V. K. Solao gave idea about online admission procedure and its complications.
All the Technical Institutions of Wardha district participated and displayed their USPs in their stalls. Students from various schools all over Wardha district took active participation in the Fair. The programme hosted by Miss. Chaitali Kulkarni and vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Chandrakant Zilpe.

Wardha: The Smart City Team from Dubai comprising of Hon. Mr. Abdul Latif AlMulla, Chief Executive Officer, Smart City & Chief Business Development Officer, Dubai Holding, Mr. Anirudha Damkey, Chief Finance and Investment Officer, Smart City & Dr. Baju George, Managing Director, Smart City accompanied by Hon. Shri. Sagar Meghe, Secretary, Nagar Yuvak Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur, visited Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research, Sawangi [Meghe], Wardha and interacted with the Students and Faculty.
In the exclusive Student Interaction program held at the Datta Meghe Auditorium, Mr. Abdul Latif AlMulla, Mr. Anirudha Damkey, Dr. Baju George, Hon. Shri. Sagar Meghe, Dr. Dilip Gode, Vice Chancellor, DMIMSU, Dr. Rajiv Borle, Registrar, DMIMSU, Dr. S.S. Patel, Chief Coordinator, DMIMSU, Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava, Dean, JNMC, Dr. A.J. Pakhan, Dean, SPDC, Dr. Shyam Bhutada, Principal, MGAC, Shri B.D. Kulkarni, Principal, SRMMCON and Dr. Sachin Untawale were prominently present on the dais. Dr. Sachin Untawale welcomed Mr. Abdul Latif AlMulla on behalf of DMIETR, while students from the Institution welcomed all the other dignitaries on the dais. After the welcome of dignitaries, the exclusive interaction program commenced with all the three technocrats answered the queries and doubts raised by the DMIETR Students. In an hour long interaction session, Mr. Abdul Latif AlMulla, Mr. Anirudha Damkey and Dr. Baju George not only solved the various queries of the students but also guided them regarding various career opportunities in India and abroad. The students were extremely impressed with the interaction with the dignitaries. The Dignitaries were felicitated at the hands of Hon. Sagarji Meghe, Dr. Dilip Gode and Dr. Sachin Untawale.
Later in the afternoon, the Smart City Team visited DMIETR and the Team was highly impressed by the grand infrastructure and the facilities provided at the Institution and expressed their desire to visit again. The Smart City Team then interacted with the Faculty of the Institution in the Seminar Hall.
Mr. Chetan Bhagat proceeded towards the Datta Meghe Auditorium for an exclusive interaction with the students and faculty of the Institution. Mr. Bhagat was given a floral welcome at the auditorium on behalf of the Institution. Deans, Faculty and Students of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences were also present for the presentation. Mr. Benny Samuel gave a power presentation about the Institution.
Mr. Chetan Bhagat gave a motivating presentation which he aptly called as the ‘Highs & Lows of the Life. He pointed out that fact that everybody goes through the highs and lows of life, but it is upto the individual how he takes it. He asked the students to be sincere in whatever they do in life. Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi proposed the vote of thanks to end the program. Mr. Chetan Bhagat later met the students who had thronged in large numbers to interact with him and get his autograph.

“YUVA” brings out zeal & enthusiasm in students of DMIETR
The Students of DMIETR proved that ‘Energy, Enthusiasm, Elegance, Expertise, Entertainment’ could have no better synonym than ‘YUVA’, the unleashed spirit, the Grand Annual Social Gathering & Sports Fest, organized by Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research, Wardha. In a weeklong celebration of youthfulness, exuberance and vibrancy, ‘YUVA’, the unleashed spirit, brought out the innate talent and potential among the Students and Faculty. ‘YUVA’ saw the students in their casual avatars enjoying the grand celebration and carnival atmosphere to the fullest.
Various Competitive Events like Quiz Competition, Debate Competition, Poster Competition, Conqueror 4.0, Singing Competition, Dance Competition, One Minute Show, Fashion Show, Mehendi Making Competition, LAN Gaming, Rangoli Competition, Model Making Competition, Movie Making Competition, Photography Competition and many others events were organized in the Annual Gathering. Sports Events like Volleyball, Badminton, Chess, Tug of War, Cricket, were also organized during YUVA to bring out the sportsmanship and killer instinct among the students. In the keenly contested matches of Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Chess, Tug of War, the students and the faculty showed their sporting skills and sportsmanship spirit. New Events like Box Cricket and Mr. & Ms. YUVA proved to be extremely popular both among the students and the faculty.
The Fashion Show was the most popular of all events in ‘YUVA’. The students dazzled on the ramp in mesmerizing costumes, flashy lights and thumping music in various rounds based on themes like traditional, casual, funky, etc. The fashion show and ramp walk, brought out the beauty and women of substance attitude, from the girls of the college. But it was the ramp walk by the students on Bollywood theme, which had some latka & jhatka moments, which won maximum accolades. There was a special round for Faculty who walked with grace and elegance on the ramp much to the delight of the students.
The Dance Competition had students vying in three competitions, i.e. Solo, Duet and Group. It gave the students a chance to show some dexterous moves on Western & Classical tunes. Students enjoyed their tryst with Hip-hop, Freestyle, Bollywood Style, etc. The Students and the Faculty enjoyed the competition and students dancing away to glory right from their own seats made the competition most enjoyable one for one and all.
Day One of the Cultural Events ended with an orchestra ‘Symphony’ on Grand Musical Night. The students of DMIETR and Faculty members crooned to the latest hit songs of Bollywood. The Orchestra began with a wonderful rendition of evergreen ghazal ‘Tum ko dekha to ye khayal aaya’ by Prof. Dhananjay Ikhar. The high point of Orchestra was when Dr. Sachin Untawale infused a high dose of energy among the students when he rendered the soulful song ‘Abhi mujhme kahi, baki thodi si hai zindagi’ from Agneepath. The Students & Faculty were mesmerized by the wonderful rendition of the ghazal by Dr. Untawale & was greeted with loud cheer and applauds. Prof. Nilesh Tanelwar and his team worked extremely hard for the success of ‘Symphony’.
Day Two of the Cultural Events ended with a completely new concept of the ‘Rock Band Show’, which saw the clash of two professional Rock Bands. Udit Sharma & his band, Students of DMIETR, started the proceedings with some extremely popular rock numbers which was matched by Paul Peter and his band, Students of DMIMSU, with high dose of extremely popular English & Hindi rock numbers. It was an unforgettable experience for all the students and the faculty to see the Rock Bands belting out hits after hits.
Giving a brief idea about the Gala Event, Prof. Benny Samuel, Convener, YUVA, informed that students of DMIETR were best not only in academics but extracurricular activities also. The real intent of the Grand Festival ‘YUVA’ is to provide a platform for students & faculty to showcase the innate talent and also to provide relief from the monotonous daily routine so as to retain the energy, celebrate the spirit of togetherness and happiness. He also thanked the Management for providing the financial support to the Gala Event.
YUVA concluded with a sumptuous dinner arranged for the students and staff members. In the end, the students and teachers stepped up to the loud notes of DJ. The highlight of this year’s YUVA was the splendid eye candy fashion shows and ear pleasing orchestra. It was a kaleidoscope of different hidden talents and hard work where all the students come together and stand for the college and gives the Impression of “UNITY IN DIVERSITY”.

The ICRTIET-2014, an interdisciplinary Conference, focused on thrust areas in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and Applied Sciences & Mathematics. More than 150 delegates from all over India and abroad participated in the Conference & presented their research papers. The Conference provided an opportunity to the participants to exchange their views through Technical Paper Presentations, Video Conferencing Sessions and Panel Discussions.

BLITZKRIEG subscribes to the basic idea of innovating for the future and serves as a platform for participants to exploit their talents and skills to the best. Dr. D.K. Agrawal, in his speech, motivated the students to take part in such events to bring out the hidden talent. He added that BLITZKRIEG provides opportunity to dust out cobwebs from corners of brains of emerging young nurtured technicians beyond the realms of academics. In his address to the students, Dr. Bhaskar Patel expressed that what sets BLITZKRIEG apart from the hoard of technical festivals, is the fact that it brings people from various academic, social and regional backgrounds in one arena to foster an atmosphere of learning, unlearning and relearning through an application-oriented approach. The Valedictory & Prize Distribution Function of BLITZKRIEG took place in the evening at the hands of Dr. Manoj Daigavane, Principal, Suresh Deshmukh College of Engineering, Wardha. The trophies, cash prizes & certificates for all the events were given at the Function. The Organizing Committee, Teaching Faculty, Non-Teaching Staff and Students worked hard for the success of the event.

In his Convener's address, Mr. Benny Samuel gave the details of the events & competitions held in YUVA-2011. Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, in his welcome address to the students, stressed on the need for students to be best not only in academics but extracurricular activities also because of its importance in Campus Interviews. He motivated the students to be disciplined in all walks of life. He quoted the examples of people who had made a name for themselves in various fields & asked the students to bring out their hidden talent through the medium of the Annual Gathering & Sports Fest.
Dr. Uday Waghe, in his address to the students, encouraged them to shed their inhibitions and perform to their level best. He reminded the students of the cutthroat competition in engineering, & hence the need to excel in extracurricular as well as sports events. He congratulated the Institution for providing the students such a big platform to showcase their talent in extracurricular & sports activities.
Various Competitive Events like Quiz Competition, Debate Competition, Poster Competition, Bachao Spardha, Model Making, Literature Competition, Mr. & Ms. DMIETR, Singing Competition, Dance Competition, One Minute Show, Best Dress-up, Funny Dancing, Fashion Show, Greeting & Pot Painting, Flower Arrangement, Comedy Challenge, Treasure Hunt, Rangoli Competition, Ads Competition, On Spot Painting, Kite Flying, Skit Competition were organized in the Annual Gathering. Sports Events like Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Chess, Carrom, Tug of war, Cricket, Arm Wrestling were also greatly enjoyed by the students & staff members.
Shri. Hemant Thakare & Dr. Uday Waghe were felicitated by Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi & Shri. Chandrahas Deshpande respectively with Shawl, Shreefal, Ganesh Murti & YUVA Memento. Mrs. Megha Sawangikar conducted the proceedings, while Mrs. Smita Nagtode proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Ajay Ingale, Mr. Arjun Hajare, Mr. Mahesh Ramteke, Mr. Prashant Chaudhari, all the members of Organizing Committee, teaching, non teaching staff, Class representatives and students worked hard for the success of the program.

The prehistorical discovery of the ability to control fire increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans in traveling in and controlling their environment. Recent technological developments have lessened physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact freely on a global scale. Technology has affected society and its surroundings in a number of ways.
Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research, Wardha, in association with Indian Society For Technical Education had organized TECHNOCON-12, a Two Day National Conference On Innovative Trends For Technology Developments on 6th & 7th January 2012. The Conference was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. D.M. Dewaikar, an internationally renowned Emeritus Professor from IIT Mumbai, while Dr. R.V.Kshirsagar, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, RTM Nagpur University & Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Chairman, Meghe Group of Institutions. Dr. Gopalrao Kulkarni, Emeritus Professor from IIT Mumbai, Dr. J.P. Modak, Prof. & Dean, R & D, Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur, Dr. A.V. Kale, Principal, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur, Dr. M. B. Daigavane, Principal, Sureshrao Deshmukh College of Engineering, Wardha, renowned experts & eminent Personalities from IIT Bombay & IIT Delhi, Research Scholars & Academicians, Professors & faculty members from various parts of the country were prominently present during the Inaugural Function.
Dr. D.M. Dewaikar, in his address, reiterated the need to develop technology which will provide sufficient energy to the country as it is reeling under severe energy shortage. Dr. R.V. Kshirsagar expressed the desire of designing a curriculum which will help in students playing a major role in developing the Technology.
The dignitaries & delegates were welcomed through a welcome speech by Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, Principal, DMIETR. Dr. J.M. Kate, in his Convener's address, gave details about TECHNOCON-12. Mr. Benny Samuel conducted the proceeding while Mr. D. R. Ikhar proposed the vote of thanks. The Teaching & Non-Teaching faculty of the Institution worked hard for the success of the Conference.
