BLITZKRIEG-2012, NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL EVENT, HELD AT DATTA MEGHE INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY & RESEARCH

BLITZKRIEG-2012, a National Level Technical Event, was organized at Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha. Dr. Bhaskar Patel, Principal, Kavikulguru Institute Of Technology & Science, Ramtek, Nagpur was the Chief Guest while Dr. D.K. Agrawal, Senate Member, Faculty of Engineering, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, Principal, DMIETR, Dr. Jaivant Kate, Dean [Academics], DMIETR, Mrs. Smita Nagtode, Organizing Secretary, BLITZKRIEG, Mrs. Dipti Bhade, Convener, BLITZKRIEG, Mr. Abhishek Mishra and Mr. Abhijit Ballawar, Student Coordinators, BLITZKRIEG, were prominently present on the dais. |
The inaugural function of BLITZKRIEG got off to a rousing start with the lighting of the traditional lamp and garlanding the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. On behalf of the Institution, Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi gave a floral welcome to Dr. D.K. Agrawal. Dr. Bhaskar Patel & Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi were welcomed by Mrs. Smita Nagtode & Mrs. Dipti Bhade respectively.
In her introductory speech, Mrs. Dipti Bhade gave a brief idea about the events to be conducted during BLITZKRIEG. Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, in his welcome address, stated that BLITZKRIEG aims to bring forth the technical talent in the country as well as to give a platform for the budding and young talent to showcase and compete against the best in the country. BLITZKRIEG subscribes to the basic idea of innovating for the future and serves as a platform for participants to exploit their talents and skills to the best. Dr. D.K. Agrawal, in his speech, motivated the students to take part in such events to bring out the hidden talent. He added that BLITZKRIEG provides opportunity to dust out cobwebs from corners of brains of emerging young nurtured technicians beyond the realms of academics. In his address to the students, Dr. Bhaskar Patel expressed that what sets BLITZKRIEG apart from the hoard of technical festivals, is the fact that it brings people from various academic, social and regional backgrounds in one arena to foster an atmosphere of learning, unlearning and relearning through an application-oriented approach. Mr. Benny Samuel conducted the proceedings of the Inaugural Function while Mrs. Smita Nagtode proposed the votes of thanks.
BLITZKRIEG-2012 had six events, mainly, Paper Presentations in various disciplines like Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Master of Business Administration, and other events like Blind āCā Coding Competition, Poster Competition, Model Competition, Robo Race & Robo War with 1500 participants from various parts of the Country.
The Valedictory & Prize Distribution Function of BLITZKRIEG took place in the evening at the hands of Dr. Manoj Daigavane, Principal, Suresh Deshmukh College of Engineering, Wardha. The trophies, cash prizes & certificates for all the events were given at the Function. The Organizing Committee, Teaching Faculty, Non-Teaching Staff and Students worked hard for the success of the event. |

Wardha: "YUVA-2011,the unleashed spirit" Annual Gathering & Sports Fest was organized at Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology and Research, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha from 24th ā 31st December 2011. The Prize Distribution of YUVA-2011 was formally inaugurated at the hands of Shri. Hemant Thakare, Executive Director [Technical], Meghe Group of Institutions, while Dr. Uday Waghe, Principal, YCCE, Nagpur presided over the function. Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, Principal, Mr. Benny Samuel, Convener, YUVA-2011 & Mr. Piyush Bhandari, University Representative, Students Council were prominently present on the dais. |

In his Convener's address, Mr. Benny Samuel gave the details of the events & competitions held in YUVA-2011. Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, in his welcome address to the students, stressed on the need for students to be best not only in academics but extracurricular activities also because of its importance in Campus Interviews. He motivated the students to be disciplined in all walks of life. He quoted the examples of people who had made a name for themselves in various fields & asked the students to bring out their hidden talent through the medium of the Annual Gathering & Sports Fest.
Dr. Uday Waghe, in his address to the students, encouraged them to shed their inhibitions and perform to their level best. He reminded the students of the cutthroat competition in engineering, & hence the need to excel in extracurricular as well as sports events. He congratulated the Institution for providing the students such a big platform to showcase their talent in extracurricular & sports activities.
Various Competitive Events like Quiz Competition, Debate Competition, Poster Competition, Bachao Spardha, Model Making, Literature Competition, Mr. & Ms. DMIETR, Singing Competition, Dance Competition, One Minute Show, Best Dress-up, Funny Dancing, Fashion Show, Greeting & Pot Painting, Flower Arrangement, Comedy Challenge, Treasure Hunt, Rangoli Competition, Ads Competition, On Spot Painting, Kite Flying, Skit Competition were organized in the Annual Gathering. Sports Events like Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Chess, Carrom, Tug of war, Cricket, Arm Wrestling were also greatly enjoyed by the students & staff members.
Shri. Hemant Thakare & Dr. Uday Waghe were felicitated by Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi & Shri. Chandrahas Deshpande respectively with Shawl, Shreefal, Ganesh Murti & YUVA Memento. Mrs. Megha Sawangikar conducted the proceedings, while Mrs. Smita Nagtode proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Ajay Ingale, Mr. Arjun Hajare, Mr. Mahesh Ramteke, Mr. Prashant Chaudhari, all the members of Organizing Committee, teaching, non teaching staff, Class representatives and students worked hard for the success of the program.

TECHNOCON-12 at Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research National Conference On Innovative Trends For Technology Developments "Technologies significantly affect human ability to control and adapt to their natural environments. Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research, Wardha, in association with Indian Society For Technical Education had organized TECHNOCON-12, a Two Day National Conference On Innovative Trends For Technology Developments on 6th & 7th January 2012. The Conference was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. D.M. Dewaikar, an internationally renowned Emeritus Professor from IIT Mumbai, while Dr. R.V.Kshirsagar, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, RTM Nagpur University & Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Chairman, Meghe Group of Institutions. Dr. Gopalrao Kulkarni, Emeritus Professor from IIT Mumbai, Dr. J.P. Modak, Prof. & Dean, R & D, Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur, Dr. A.V. Kale, Principal, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur, Dr. M. B. Daigavane, Principal, Sureshrao Deshmukh College of Engineering, Wardha, renowned experts & eminent Personalities from IIT Bombay & IIT Delhi, Research Scholars & Academicians, Professors & faculty members from various parts of the country were prominently present during the Inaugural Function.
Dr. D.M. Dewaikar, in his address, reiterated the need to develop technology which will provide sufficient energy to the country as it is reeling under severe energy shortage. Dr. R.V. Kshirsagar expressed the desire of designing a curriculum which will help in students playing a major role in developing the Technology.
The dignitaries & delegates were welcomed through a welcome speech by Dr. Vivek Tatwawadi, Principal, DMIETR. Dr. J.M. Kate, in his Convener's address, gave details about TECHNOCON-12. Mr. Benny Samuel conducted the proceeding while Mr. D. R. Ikhar proposed the vote of thanks. The Teaching & Non-Teaching faculty of the Institution worked hard for the success of the Conference.
